Caring Committee
TBE Caring Committee Mission Statement:
The TBE Caring Committee arranges for and provides assistance to TBE members who are in need of help or support. The Caring Committee complements the services offered by several other TBE Committees, notably the Social Action and Membership Committees, and Chevra Kaddisha.
Upon receipt of information about a TBE Member who has experienced a loss, illness or other event that may significantly disrupt daily activities, the Caring Committee reaches out to determine if assistance is needed; discusses what services may be of benefit; and then recruits and coordinates volunteers to provide the services, and monitor their effectiveness. These services may include preparing meals; offering rides to appointments, Shabbat services or other TBE events; sending cards; doing errands; visiting and making phone calls.
