Temple Beth-El Ithaca, New York

Who We Are

temple logoTemple Beth-El, founded in 1924, is an established center of Jewish life in beautiful Ithaca, New York, a town of nearly 100,000 nestled on the shores of Cayuga Lake in the picturesque Finger Lakes region of central New York.  Located in the heart of downtown, minutes from Cornell University and Ithaca College, Temple Beth-El is a welcoming, progressive, egalitarian synagogue affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism.  It serves a growing, active and diverse congregation in and around Tompkins County.

Temple Beth-El strives to preserve and enhance our Jewish heritage by providing a wide range of religious, educational, social, and community activities that enable people to explore the full richness of Jewish life.  Our rabbi, Scott Glass, has served the Temple Beth-El community since 1976.
