Rabbi Caleb Brommer

Caleb Brommer (he/him/his) is the future rabbi of Temple Beth-El.

He came to the rabbinate through the world of Jewish education and is committed to learning and sharing a living Torah. Caleb centers a rigorous, reflective, reverent, and revolutionary approach to Jewish material and tradition, and strives towards a Jewish world where we are all committed to one another, to humanity, to the earth, and to the Divine (whatever that means!).

He is invested in developing the Jewish devotional practices of prayer, song, text learning, language learning, and community organizing. But his primary concern is providing spiritual and pastoral care for those in his community.

In his free time, Caleb plays music, bowls, cooks, hikes, and camps with his wife and chevrutah Rebecca, and their dog Caper.

Caleb is driven to make TBE a truly welcoming place---regardless of how you are connected to the Jewish story, come join us!

Caleb is excited to begin his role officially in July.
